Most people like to ask what gear I use – I shoot Canon. I know Nikon. I know Olympus. I shoot Canon. I’ve used Canon for as long as I can remember, but Fort Worth Camera gave me the opportunity to shoot mirrorless. They had the Sony A9, a 85mm Sigma Art lens and a Profoto B2 external flash. It is an expensive setup, but it’s results were beautiful, just like the models they hosted.
I won’t lie, I loved this setup. I love the ability to manipulate light and the beauty of the images the Sigma allowed the Sony to capture, but I also know this setup isn’t the best for little bitty babies and kids, and family moments. It could be, but it’s not necessary.
