School was out for summer for my kids, but it was on for me. Three months in the glorious world of backyards, BBQ, pools and lots of sunshine. My class was one week, but there was still more personal studies.
For any #workanywhereparent summer means a lot more work – namely, shuttling kids (and actively ensuring they are active and engaged), sitting by the pool (and actively ensuring that they are not drowning themselves of each other), and sitting outside and watching them play (and actively ensuring that they are not stepping into ant piles, playing with spiders!, or about to roll down the hill.) Working is a struggle. Mainly, because kids are kids! But, I’m thankful for these moments with my kids, even if they can frazzle my wits.
But, my girls started back this week to school. They are elated, and even after their third day back (they started back September 5), they are exhausted, falling asleep around 6:30 each night. I’m thankful, even if it means investing in blankets as black out drapes.
But, that also means, I can schedule more and do more. We are in the midst of building our studio (it will take time, but we are excited!) Let’s get your family session (either in home or on location) scheduled!
